Rawcliffe Caravan Park York

Lysander ArmsDate of Stay January 2nd to 4th 2016: Very handy for York and in fact we were using it so that we could prepare the new vehicle for its first proper trip away so we booked in for three nights local to home.  The caravan park is adjacent to The Lysander Arms pub which serves a great Sunday lunch and seems to be a busy pub offering a good menu throughout the week.

The site is small (13 pitches) but could accommodate our 30 foot Elysian and all pitches are hard standing and have their own EHU, Water, grey water and loo drains.  Ideal for visiting York, not cheap at £25 per night but very friendly and highly recommended.

Hi Ho Chris and Annie. Congrats on acquiring your new home on wheels and hope everything goes “plain sailing” I understand Ken and Mary have changed to a caravan. I had a busy time on the “ivories” last year playing a the organ in a lovely Devon church in memory of one of our m/hme club members who died suddenly down in Spain whilst we were down there for the winter. She had asked me to promise I would play it for her whilst we were on a club rally, but unfortunately died too soon. In August our club held a weeks Christmas themed rally for all us lot who clutter off to Spain every winter. A group of us performed the panto Cinderfella, and I was the orchestra i.e. playing the keyboard, all decked out in colourful costume.
Unfortunately Lynda and I have had to miss out on Spain this year due to her health problems, but we hope to pop down there later this year.
Do hoe you have a supa dupa time in your new mobile abode and have a smashing time in Canada and the US of A.
With breastest oooppps bestest wishes EdLyn
