La Bien Assise

La Bien AssiseDate of Stay 17th to 19th May 2014: Having only a few days to spend in France we wanted to find somewhere close to the channel tunnel for the first couple of nights just to relax and unwind.  La Bien Assise proved a perfect choice.  Combined with some stunning sunny weather this site in Guines had huge pitches (300m2), a covered and heated swimming pool, shop, bar and take away.  It also had very friendly staff.

We also tried out the on site restaurant La Ferme Gourmande, because this site also has small Auberge attached with seven rooms and a stunning restaurant.  The food is top notch and the Foie Gras highly recommended!  Good quiet site for ‘the crumblies’ out of school holidays and clearly a favourite for those with children in the holidays.

You can expect a high standard as this site is a member of the French Les Castels camping chain.  High season for 2 adults and two children with electric would be around €40 per night but is actually good value overall.
