Delightful Dale

A Splendid View

A Splendid View

Three good ‘spots’ noted on a recent visit to Dale in Pembrokeshire:

Spot No. 1 Approaching Dale on the B4327 you will come into a one way system, just before you do so there is an excellent car park with plenty of room for motorhomes – several were parked there with one chap slotting his windsurfing board through his rear window ready to take home. Certainly not crowded out of school holidays and free parking out of season.  Regrettably there is also a sign saying no overnight camping.  This is so shortsighted as the locals would definitely benefit from more out of season tourism  which brings me to …

Spot No. 2 Continue into the one way system and then back on yourself as if returning to Milford Haven and you will see a very large open space adjacent to the road, bigger than a lay-by, with room for at least four or five motorhomes to park up and no restriction signs.  Although the space was empty I understand motorhomes regularly park there overnight.

Spot No 3 Now you are comortably parked up, walk to The Griffin Pub and enjoy a fantastic meal, nt necessarily cheap but a great selection of freshly caught fish and cooked to perfection, highly recommended.
