Secure Storage Perpignan

la tour bas elneNot wishing to bring our motorhome all the way back from Spain, we drove as far as Perpignan where we found the perfect secure storage place to leave the vehicle for 6 weeks.  Camping Cars Roussillon at La Tour Bas Elne run by Sylvie Hubner is a great find.  Not only do they have secure storage for 70€ per month, this is also a substantial and secure aire for visiting nearby Argeles sur Mer and a camping shop with general supplies of spares and accessories.

They speak very little English, but are very friendly and helpful.  We felt as good as we could about abandoning our vehicle in France and there were a number of vehicles there clearly content to do so.

They have two large service bays for water, grey and black water and we left fully provisioned and ready to go.

Good find Chris, thanks for passing on the info. Will you report on your progress please?

Picked it up last week with no problems. Been waiting to post this as didn’t want to advertise the whereabouts of the vehicle especially since for no apparent reason, RAC Trackstar couldn’t see the vehicle. I haven’t got to the bottom of that yet. This is a great Aire and very secure storage. No problems.

Thanks for the information Chris. Might be a useful spot to store the tow car whilst popping over into Spain 🙂

Yes, there were a couple of cars there and very handy for Spain. She doesn’t discount for part months so mid month to mid month is two months and it has to be cash, no cards. Big secure gates though and properly done.

        Hi
Great to get a info as we are thinking of doing the same thing.
Any idea how you get to the airport on leaving or campervan to rest !!
We are from Ireland and we intend to leave our Camper in Spain too
But again we always have to have easy travel from airports and not costing a fortune
Let’s know if you have any other places in mind ….
        Many thanks
        Safe travel
        Paul ..

We got a taxi to the airport. I can’t remember the cost could have been 50 euros I am not sure but no more than that.
