Alnmouth – a little bit of heaven on earth. Click to Enlarge

Date:September 2nd 2012 Oh how we love this spot!  Time and again we return to park adjacent to the beach at Alnmouth.  £3 to park for the day and you will be advised you cannot stay over night (although we have once or twice in the winter months).  Excellent restaurant in town with BYO alcohol is The Beaches.  Small menu but great food.  It is often fully booked so you need to reserve in advance.

Such a shame they don’t organise a small Aire here for three or four motorhomes – money would be spent in the town and everyone would be a winner.  The parking, which is between the golf course and the beach, is owned separately by a Limited company.  I will attempt to write to them and see if I can get a response.  In the meantime, what can I say except for the day do what we do, arrive early and go home late!
