Conyngham Hall, Knaresborough

Parking  by the River 20th May 2012

Up to 10 hours for £4, there were three or four motorhomes parked by the river on this day.  Drive right to the end of the car park and there is a big central grassy area with a part made road around the perimeter.  Plenty of room to park right by the river, drown the kids and exercise the dog!  Conyngham has plenty to keep you occupied all day including pitch and putt and is a short walk to Mother Shiptons Cave and a slightly longer uphill walk into Knaresborough town centre.

We had come back early from Pennies in the Park (see earlier Blog) and didn’t want to just go straight home with one of the grandchildren so we pulled in here for the afternoon and had fish and chips eventually leaving at 9pm.  We were the last to leave.  There’s no overnight parking (and a gate they do shut at some point) otherwise we would have stayed the night.  Very peaceful, out of season definitely scores at least an 8.
